Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. She was raised by her mother in the USA. She was subjected to racial taunts and felt unloved. The confidence started to build during the 9th grade, after she took part in a school audition. She received a lot of praise for her performance. The experience not only boosted confidence in herself, but it also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. In the year 22 she graduated at the Julliard School of New York. As she was turning 23 years old, she launched her professional career in Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, when she was 23, her movie debut was You've received mail. The role of The lad from The Lake is her biggest breakthrough, bringing herself an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her performance. Following that, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. As a well-known singer, she released her own single and an extended version of her play. Also, she's been a vocal advocate for LGBT concerns.
